Youth Spirit Squads, Inc. is a non-profit organization. We take our responsibility to protect the privacy of students and the trust of our community seriously.

1. Children’s Privacy & Safety.

   1. Our services are designed for youth, but our website is intended for use by parents, legal guardians, and school officials.

   2. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

   3. All student information (name, age, grade) must be provided by a parent or guardian.

   4. Parents have the right to review or request the deletion of their child’s information at any time.

2. Information We Collect. We collect only the information necessary to run our non-profit programs and uniform shop:

   1. Contact Information: Name, email, and phone number for parents or coaches.

   2. Student Details: Name, age, grade, and school affiliation for program placement.

   3. Payment & Financial Data: When you register for a program or buy a uniform, payments are processed securely through Wix Payments. We do not store your full credit card or bank account numbers.

   4. Uniform Order Details: Information regarding sizes and items purchased for in-person bulk pickup.

3. How We Use Your Information.

   1. Program Management: To organize rosters, scheduling, and safety protocols.

   2. Uniform Fulfillment: To manage bulk orders.
      NOTE: All uniforms are for in-person pickup; we use your contact info to notify you when orders are ready.

   3. Communication: We use Wix’s email tools to send newsletters, registration deadlines, and emergency program updates.

   4. Accounting: Our payment system connects to QuickBooks to ensure accurate non-profit financial reporting and tax-exempt compliance.

4. Sharing Your Information. We do not sell your data. We share information only with trusted service providers:

   1. Wix.com: For website hosting, email communications, and secure payment processing.

   2. QuickBooks: For internal accounting and financial record-keeping.

   3. Legal & Safety: Only if required by law or to ensure the physical safety of a participant.

5. Accessibility Commitment. We believe in an inclusive experience. Our use of the AccessPro Accessibility Plugin helps us meet ADA compliance standards, ensuring that parents and students with disabilities can access our program information without barriers.

6. Data Security. We implement administrative and technical safeguards through Wix’s secure infrastructure to protect your information. Access to student rosters is restricted to authorized non-profit staff and coaches.

7. Your Rights. Regardless of your location, you may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information. As a non-profit, we voluntarily adhere to high standards of data transparency to maintain the trust of the families we serve. For California residents specifically, Section 1798.83 of the California Civil Code requires select businesses to disclose policies relating to the sharing of certain categories of your Personal Data with third parties. If you reside in California and have provided your Personal Data to YSS you may request information about our disclosures of certain categories of Personal data to third parties for direct marketing purposes. We are happy to accommodate manual registrations and uniform orders over the phone or in person to ensure your student doesn’t miss out on the season.
